Invite your team and choose roles
Give colleagues access to the dashboard as an Admin or a Viewer, and handle join requests.
Before you start
- The colleague has a work account on your organisation's email domain.
- 1
Invite a colleague
Go to Team and click Invite member. Enter their Email address, choose a Role and click Send invite.
Invite a colleague and choose their role. - 2
Choose the right role
Admin has full control: rooms, boards, screens, calendars, billing, team and settings. Viewer can see everything but can't change it, and can help triage room feedback reports.
Invite a colleague and choose their role. - 3
Let them sign in
They get an email invitation and sign in with their Google or Microsoft work account. Until they do, they're shown as 'Hasn't signed in yet'. You can Copy sign-in link to send it yourself, or Cancel invite.
Everyone with access, their role and pending invites. - 4
Approve join requests
When Settings, When a colleague signs in is set to Ask me first, colleagues who sign in without an invitation appear under Access requests on the Team page. Click Approve to add them as a Viewer, or Decline.
Everyone with access, their role and pending invites.
What happens next
You can change anyone's role from the Team page at any time.
Tips
- The Member and Employee roles belong to Lobby Visitors and don't give access to Rooms.
- Under Settings, When a colleague signs in, Ask me first turns uninvited sign-ins into requests. Let them in adds them automatically, but only with access to Visitors.
- Invitations only work for addresses on your organisation's domain. On Pro you can add more domains under Settings, Domains.
- Nobody needs a Lobby account to look at a screen or book a room from it.
If something goes wrong
'Email must be from @yourdomain to join this organization.'
Invite their address on your organisation's domain, or add their domain under Settings, Domains (Pro).
