Do people need a Lobby account to book?

No. The QR code opens their own Google Calendar or Outlook. If they can book the room there, they can book it from the display.

Can visitors or guests book a room this way?

Only if they're signed in to your company calendar. The QR code doesn't bypass your calendar permissions.

Can I hide the QR code on some rooms?

Yes. It's a per-room setting in the dashboard.

How fast does the display update after booking?

Usually within about 30 seconds on virtual displays. E-ink displays follow their refresh schedule, and with Smart Updates on Pro Unlimited they wake exactly when the room's status is about to change.

Does it work on the board in the lobby?

Yes, a board shows each room's status. For booking, people scan the QR code on the individual room's display.
